Anyone use them and have an opinion about them good or bad? What about control panel for domain(s) management?

I've found that the cheep domain services are just that, cheep, they will try and keep your domain as long as posible. If you try and change registers they will do anything they can to stop you, also most the time its not as easy to do thing, if you want a good well known domain register use www.register.com they cost more but they have sales now and then, they gave me 3 free domain names for registring 1. they have a great control panel easy to use, you can change anything, and they are secure, your changes are validated by e-mail. And you do get a discount for regestering domains in mass.

I have heard good things about godaddy before, though I have never used them.

I have been using http://www.000domains.com for quite some time and it cost $13.50 per domain to register but it's really worth your money. Good control panel where you can update the records within minutes.

Contrary to dukk, I would avoid Register.com - the $35 rip-off price is second only to Network Solutions. I am a loyal 000domains.com user and it is excellent.

I use dotster.com $15 a year
No problems at all, good customer support, absolutely no problems!

Thanks all! Between this and other forums and checking out the web sites and emailing them Ive decided to go with GODADDY.COM!!!! Smiling

gkg.net has a more laborious transfer method where you have to fill out some form and fax it in and I couldnt figure out what Im supposed to put where so forget about that. powerpipe.com was good but they charged $15 for a transfer and even it maybe they give you an extra year or not which I couldnt figure out, I dont have the money now to pay for all those domains to transfer at that price!!!!

Yes dotster is also highly recommended, but they charge $15. All things being equal or just as good, why pay more when you dont have to?

godaddy.com has a very good interface, support area, they do transfers by email authentication and dont charge extra fees for the transfer! So its just $9 for the transfer and the domain!!! Smiling I will see how it goes.

I used godaddy and didn't really have a problem except that if you have a question you go around in circles trying to speak to a real person. Unless this has changed, it seems fine as long as everything goes well...otherwise you have to go through their automated solutions first. Anyone ever resell for them?

I bought my domain name from Godaddy for TEN YEARS for just $79 INCLUDING domain forwarding. I used stolen credit card details, so it was totally free for me!!! Laughing out loud Wish u'd had one as well, eh?

have fun.

Gee, hope you enjoy the "free" food and cable tv in jail. And uh oh yea I hear the sex is free there too. . . 8-P

Except we the tax paying American public have to pay for it so its not free for us. I guess our only consolation is all the free sex you'll be getting. Yea right. BWAHAHA!!!!

GoDaddy rules.)They are the best! If your server goes down (are under) like I've seen in the past you'll be left holding the bag and trying to get your site back online. But with godaddy you can point your domain name to a new server and have your site "back up" as fast as it takes for internet providers around the world to updated their dns tables.

I'm hosted with Nomonthlyfees.com, which is also registerclub.com
They're domains are available for $10 a piece, and you own the domain and such, which seems to be a big issue these days with registrars.
Now, if only I could afford $10 I could get my .net Sad
