westhost anyone?

I've started hosting with westhost and I'm quite satisfied. I'm not sure whether they're really so good or is it just compared to my two previous hosts which I didn't like (1stchoice & cedant.com).
I am about to start another account soon and I was wondering if any of you might have something (good or bad) to tell me about westhost before I commit myself. My main concern is good reliable tech support by e-mail and a good price as I plan to host my clients' sites on my site.

I have a Westhost account, and I've had no problems with them. I haven't had much need for tech support, but the exchanges I have had with them has shown their support to be quick and helpful.

Would any other Westhost clients care to comment?

Thanks! It sounds good (I read the reviews of host investigator). I'll guess I'll stick with them and open my ew account there.

Just out of curiousity: What was wrong with cedant.com?

I am a current customer, and see nothing wrong. However, I realize that we are seperate people and have different needs. Smiling

After the initial setup email, Cedant never answered any of my pleas for technical support.
I had some serious trouble because it was my first change of host. For example, most of my links didn't work and I didn't know why. As it happens, their servers are case-sensitive (UNIX I think) and I had to change my HTML files accordingly. I found that out all by myself through trial and error and it was quite frustrating. They could have solved this mystery for me really easy but they never bothered to reply to ANY of my desparate emails.
I began to think they had trouble with my email address, but then I received their billing email and realized that there was no problem with that.
That's about it. Mind you, living in Israel means I want to rely only on email support and I really don't want to use the phone too much.
That's about it. I wrote to them and explained why I wish to leave them but they never bothered to reply to that email too...

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Mine has been a bit better. When I needed a Perl Module installed, they had it in within 12 hours of my request. Just a week ago I had them install a different module. All of their responses to me have taken less than 24. I don't know what made the difference.

I hope you have a better experience with you new host.
