Web Extreme v. Hostway

Hi.

I am currently with Hostway. Gold Plan, 200/3 for $15.95/month. I've been happy with them but am looking to trim my budget.

I recently registered a new domain name and am going to try Web Extreme (web-x.com) for a month for $8. (Since I am using a new domain, it won't disrupt my current page. I will eventually either keep it at web-x, or change it to the new domain name at Hostway.

Web Extreme seems to offer most all of the things that Hostway does, except phone support, for about half the cost.

Does anyone have any experience with these two companies? Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated. I am having a hard time finding web-x on some of the comparison/rating sites.

I have heard good things about Hostway from people who use them, and on the other hand, have never once heard of Web Extreme. A good word of advice is don't fall for the cheap trap because cheaper doesn't mean better. In many cases, you're sacrificing reliability and support.

I just visited that Web Extreme web site and was tempted to leave immediatently - for a business that they apparently are, it's not a smart move to be so flashy, no pun intended. I would stick with Hostway.
