I am going to be putting together an educational website dedicated to presenting hour long video programms. Obviously, that's a pretty heavy duty job. Can anyone reccommend a hosting service that would do a good job with this? Also, some articles explaining the issues involved in setting up and maintaining a site of this nature would be helpful.

Looks like you'll be needing a host that offers a LOT of bandwidth and space. I would actually recommend you look into getting a dedicated server. Here are some good dedciated server companies you should look into:

http://www.rackspace.com

http://www.catalog.com

http://www.tera-byte.com

If you can't afford a dedicated server, then there are some hosts with larg hosting plans. For example, both http://www.burst.net and http://www.tera-byte.com offer 500MB+ of space and 15GB+ of bandwidth.
