Suggestions for Free Host
Hi to all,
I would appreciate if somebody can recommend a reliable free host which offers a significant amt of bandwidth. I've been using Geocities and they allow 3GB per month. My site is down an average of once per day because I always exceed the allocated bandwidth...Any recommendations?
Thanks.

I'm not considering paid hosts as I don't see how I can recoup this capital since my site's a gaming site and done out of pure interest only...
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hypermart.net is also a paid host too...
Has anybody heard of escalix.com? They claim to offer 50MB space with no ads...
I emailed their support and they said they are offering unlimited bandwidth. Sounds too good to be true? Trustworthy?

Well, there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth, if you put a 100mb file on there and get a few million people downloading every day I am sure they would say something
Also in their FAQ they say about frames
I don't know what their headers & footers are if they dont have any ads.
But it might be worth setting up a test site there to see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion mjames...they have a fantastic listing there...
In fact I came to know about escalix.com there...I've signed up and uploaded my files there. So far there're no ads and I haven't experienced any downtime yet...pls take a look...http://www.escalix.com/freepage/pcm. The url's pretty long but i use a redirection service, so it's alright.
Looks like a perfect short-term solution for me...Long term? I'll just have to see how it goes...

Hi, f2s requires credit card info even for free webhosting...
And I've heard many complaints from friends about their free service - they say the standard's dropping...
Thanks for your suggestion!

I used Free Yellow while I was hunting for a reliable web host.
