Suggest a host please....
Hello
I need a host that supports Java, MySQL and PHP.
All I need is about 20 MB of space, but I need about 5 GB of Bandwidth...
No DNS, just an IP to route to, if possible.
Is this even possible?
I've just got something tht eats up bandwidth that I can't host on my own lines.
Thanks.

If it's that resource intensive, is 5 GB/MO enough??

try http://www.energy4.com they have been pretty cool so far.
Add things to your account if you ask, normally for free.
The reason for this message is how much is the laptop going for and are you in the UK

Not in the UK, send an email about the laptop.
Do you use energy4?

I don't (and I guess alot of other hosts also don't) set up accounts for people using only an IP address and no domain name.
The reason I don't is that in my experience this type of account is "mostly" used by spammers

What do you mean that this sort of account is used by spammers. I use this account or company and I don't spam

I think he means that a lot of spammers request only an IP address and not a domain name, so that could be a potential "red flag" for your order. The reason spammers do this is that most of the time they're not looking for web space, but rather a server just to send bulk mailings out on.
Best of luck to you in finding a host. Unfortunately I can not recommend one to you because I am part of a hosting company myself. You might want to take a look at: http://www.hosthelp.com/ however.
Good luck,
Brian Farkas

Thats what I meant Brian, and I did also say ""mostly" used by spammers"
When I set up an account for someone I check the whois for the domain name, the IP of the client & the details that they submitted against each other, If they don't match then no account. Maybe I lose out on some genuine business this way (I am sure there are honest people genuinely using an Outer Mongolian ISP for a domain name registered in Pakistan and want the billing to go to Washington, and to those people I apologise for turning down your business)but for me I would rather be safe that having a spammer using all my server resources.
