Staying search engine friendly
Hi,
This is my 1st post to the board!
I have a hosting package that allows me unlimited domains...I am planning on putting three or four sites on that same account, each having a different domain name.
I have two questions, really...the first: will I generally need a redirect to access each of these websites, or do they stand alone?
My second question: If I need to use a redirect to each website, will that adversly affect search engine rankings?
Thanks for your help,
RobMoore

You should really be asking your web host the first question as 'unlimited domains' can mean different things.
Search engines dislike any kind of redirect

Well, my host allows unlimited domains, I just have to pay for each of them
If the host is half decent it will be done using the apache httpd.conf or another Apache config file (or IIS I suppose) so that requests for a certain domain name direct to the appropriate place on the server.
