problems transferrring registrar

Help!

I am trying to transfer my registrar from ItsYourDomain to GoDaddy. I read all the instructions and how to avoid problems. I started out by writing a letter to ItsYourDomain informing them of my plans and that they should expect to be contacted by my new registrar. I checked to see that all of my contact information was the same and then I began the official process at GoDaddy. I got a few emails from GoDaddy saying the process was started.

Then a few days later I got an email from ItsYourDomain telling me that my transfer was refused. No explaination why. I wrote back and asked them why and got a generic email telling me that it could be one of several reasons including incorrect information, too little time left on domain, etc. None of their possible reasons applied to me so I inquired again as to why they refused my transfer. They wrote a personal email outright refusing to tell me why they denied my transfer. They said that since they are the losing registrar they had no obligation to help me and to basically stop emailing them. Here's a part of it:

you are transferring OUT of our system, meaning that you no longer wish to pay for and use our services. You should contact whomever you do choose to pay for their services, as we do not have the staff to support unpaid services.

I wrote back explaining that I paid for a year of service which is not up so that I am a paid client and can not be ignored. They ignored it.

Now what? What can I do to get my registrar transferred? And is there anywhere to file charges against them?
