non-unique IP address
Just signed up with Alentus, surprised to read the following:
"Note that this is not a unique IP address. On a shared web
server, the IP is common to all websites. You can use it to
connect via FTP to manage your site, but you will not be able
see your site from the web at this address."
Anyway around this? Don't want to point the domain name for a couple of weeks as the bugs get worked out, but I want people to see it. Never had this problem before, usually go to an IP address, or IP address and a directory that's the username for the account.
Thanks!

I'm sure your host provides an address (i.e. yourhost.com/~user/) that you can use until you point your domain name to the shared IP. A lot of hosts do it this way as there is no point to WASTE an IP address if there's really no need for it (i.e. SSL, Anonymous FTP). Talk to your web host.

I'm sure if you look through your package features on their website it either says "Dedicated IP: No" or it doesn't mention dedicated IP (which also means you don't get one).
