Netherweb, WestHost, Dynamic Internet Solutions
Been looking around and have narrowed it down to these guys. Could anyone please tell me any good or bad experiences you've had with these hosts?
Thanx

Max,
I have not hosted with any of them, so my opinions are based on what I have heard about them, and what I see on their site.
http://westhost.com
Although they seemed nice, they use the word "unlimited" in their packages for bandwidth, this is a very bad thing. So I would try to avoid them as much as possible.
http://netherweb.com
They seem nice too. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but are reasonable. The only thing I don't like is that you have to pay a lot for your own IP address. I would possibly look into them as a cheap alternative to a dedicated server, until I could afford one, that is.
http://dids.com
They have ok prices, but Netherweb's seemed more competitive. Although, we do know that they host these message boards, so they appearantly have good service. Another thing, dedicated IP addresses are included in the packages.
HOPE THIS HAS HELPED.

Hello,
I can tell you that Westhost and Dynamic Internet Solutions are two good hosts. Although Westhost provide unlimited bandwidth or something, they still have a good reputation. So if you're going to sign up with them, check out what they mean by unlimited.
For DIS, they're one of the best host I know. Their support and reliability is quite good. If I'm not mistaken, this board is hosted by them too. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Well, about Netherweb, I have no comment as I never heard of them before. Sorry!
Anyway, have a nice day and HAPPY HUNTING! Thank you.
Regards,
Andrew

WestHost is really great! I host my one site: http://www.wndesigners.com on it. I never saw ONCE it was down! It is a great host. They do charge you like 15 bucks to change the MX records I think I would recommend jumpline.com over WestHost though. They have MUCH MORE features!

I am with DIDS.com right now and I am very happy with them. Chad has gone out of his way to help me with some problems that he really didn't have to deal with. They have been experiencing some problems with QWest, but they cannot help that at all. I beleive during the next few months they will be moving to a better facility anyhow.

Hi robp, I was wondering if you used modified slashcode or newsclipper to generate that page. It looks good. Thnx for any info.

Hey Max, a little off-topic but thanks for the comments
To generate the headlines, I the script just connects to the webpage and parses the HTML gathering the URL and Headline for each article.

From what I understand there are two versions of that script that basically do the same thing, Newsclipper and Slashcode.
I've read on other sites about what the script does but I was just curious what the name of the one you were using was, the composition on your page is better than other places I've seen that script implemented.
