Looking for a host - with these features...
I have been looking for a host for a while now. My current
one is really bad.
Here is what I need:
250-300 meg of space
7 gig of data transfer/month
multiple ftp accounts (3-5)
multipe yourname.domain.com accounts (3-5)
Java chat room service and/or allowing cgi chat scripts
cgi-bin , unlimited ftp usage
ability to have mx record changed.
I have looked at powersurge.net and communitech. I\
heard bad things about powersurge, and communitech said
they would not be able to change mx records (first they
told me there would be a fee, but i guess they changed their
minds).
Anyone know of a host like this.
I am willing to pay $25-$35 a month.

You can get all that for free on dlo.net...
Just join the network, the only disadvantage is that the network takes 50 percent of your ad space... But they give you free advertsising, you can't go wrong.

You might try iServer or RackSpace.com to do your own networking end. Nothing else than this would offer you thoses needs.

Communitech does offer all that, but like Travis said, they changed their mind on the mx record. Received an email about it. Something to the effect that it was fouling up the Front Page 2000 stuff. Didn't go into much detail other to say that anybody who had paid the fee, they would refund it.
