Looking For a Good Inexpensive host for Web business

Just as the title states. My sister in-law started a web store for my husband and I through Auction Teacher, and I hate them. The lay out is so generic and there is so little you can do with it. We havent gotten any sales even though we have had almost 600 visitors since the begining of the month. I am pretty sure the layout has something to do with this.

Right now we are paying about $30 a month for their measly service. I really dont want to pay more than this.

Thanks All!

Kim

There are a lot of options that you can choose from-- however it will probably mean that you will have to manage more of your site... My hosting venture offers shopping carts-- for about half what you are paying now.

I checked out your site and am very impressed with all it offers. I am considering signing up for the hosting.

Also thanks for the advice on Godaddy, design. I will check them out too.

my favorite is 1and1. i have never had any problems with them and their customer support is great. they do whatever it takes to have one up on the other companies.

when i started with them i paid $10 a month for 50gb of bandwith 3 mysql tables and 10 gigs of space if i remember correctly

now its

$7.50 a month for 1000gb of bandwith 50 mysql tables and 100gb of space.

those are just some of the more prevelant features! when you sign up for that package i chose you get 3 domain names included.

i would give them a shot, i really do like them!

i can not really understand what you need...
if you need a webshop software then you must not change your hosting service. but for 30 bucks per month it's quite expensive. try 3ix.com. there are some nice hosting packages, start from 99ct per month. then buy a webshop software and install it. you can also use the webshop included in the hosting package.

godaddy.com are the biggest U.S. host I know of and they're very cheap as well.

also trap17.com gove away a great free hostign package but you've got to post regularly in their forums to keep your websiet online.

I use Godaddy. Their prices are unbelieveable. But there are downsides. The have their own awful control panel.

I would suggest looking for hosts who offer cpanel and rvsitebuilder. Our clients use rvsitebuilder and love it. Ive used it myself and its rather easy to use and it comes with a ton of templates.

you shouldnt advise her to go with a host that has cpanel and a ton of templates etc. why be like someone else when you can be original? did amazon use a template when it started out? just an example. i can tell you they never!
