Location. Would it matter? - Hosting experts check this discussion
I have a possible stupid question:
I have a web site and my visitors come from all over South America. I am setting another web site for the same type of audience and I was wondering if having my web site hosted on a company located in Florida would it make any speed or quality difference for my visitors than to have it hosted somewhere in say, the State of Washington or in New York.
I mean, geographically Florida is the point closest to South America, would it make any difference if I host it there?

Sir,
is your website current host in South America or in United States? If you signup for a host anywhere in Florida, you will possible get a better backbone through the nation for such (ie: DS3, OC3, OC43 or higher).

CWebNetCo currently I am hosted with Interland, they have their headquarters in Atlanta.
Some people who visit that web site from South America have reported a slow response time. This could be due to the network infraestructure down there but I was wondering if I could improve that response time by having the web site located in a geographic area closer to South America. In addition, I am not completely satisfied with Interland's customer service.

We are an reseller but now we are becoming a real ISP as we are moving our servers to our new office in downtown in our town so this would be great for us
Yes, we are located in Florida and we are in the greater Tampa Bay Area.
The reason I am not adversiting my business here becuase this is the place where people need some help. If I want to adversite, I must to purchase banner ad above or people can check our site for details. I don't sell or promote anything here and it's against TWF's policy so I have to respect it

Sir,
You are currently host at InterLand (www.interland.net) and why you are not being satisfied with them? I would like to hear your words and try to improve what you are looking for. I used to be with InterLand and they are sometime tend very slow and when I first signup with them and I hate thier control panel and it was limited and they didn't have same other ISP has since they are on a NT server which shows me I think it sucked.
What feature are you looking for? is it only speed or want full 24 hours support, all hosting features (ie: pop3 accounts, unlimited e-mail forwarding, telnet & ftp access etc) ?
Let me know and I can guide you to the right host if you would like and start from there.

Anyways...
I can see you offer hosting services. Do you represent a hosting company? or, are you a reseller? What kind of hardware do you have?
You did not aswer my original question? are you in florida?
Is it OK for the admin and the moderator that you promote you hosting company here? Have you consider having a banner of your company on top this forums,like the ones on top of this page? They are affordable!
