Loads of storage ?!
I need a host for loads of data.
I came across this:
http://www.featureprice.com/?c=2&p=7
Which would be perfect,
but annual contracts are against my policy.
I need storage (~400MB right now, but that might grow).
The data will be embeded into site hostet on different servers... hotlinking.
I don't need scripting, database or stats.
All I need is a secure shell (ssh) and maybe rsync.
I don't even need a "free domain",
a static IP is sufficient.
Any ideas ?!
This seems also good:http://www.ipowerweb.com/products/index.html
But it's far too small.

I use to be with Rackhost, they have fast customer responses so you can have immediate replies to any questions or problems you have.
Rackhost also have a very comprehensive site panel for your site which has loads of 'ready to install' scripts.
they have 3 forms of site stats so you can know where you hits are coming from etc..
You basically have the power to do anything you want. Their server rarely crashes so you wont experience repetitive downtime.
As for IONhosting, i moved to them 2 days ago because i needed a site with more Bandwith offer. They have a decent site panel and fast customer service.
I recommend Rackhost if you want more power over your site on the other hand if you want more Bandwith and MB and dont need much power over your site then use IONhosting.
By power i mean if you site uses a lot of complex scripts/coding. My site has Mysql databases, needs phpMyAdmin, cgi scripts etc... so rackhost was ideal but if you site doesn't need any datbase etc.. then use IONHOSTING.
do you mean you want to see a site hosted by them? if so then;

http://www.RollDeepCrew.com <--- IONhosting
(they're both my sites)

Thanks.
I got one of the small IONhosting accounts last friday,
just for testing.
So far it looks like a good deal.
Now if they'd only offer scp or rsync instead of that freakin' ftp.
Since all dynamic and database generated content will stay with my old provider I won't have a problem with the missing "power and control".

i dont know what a scp or rsync is but the FTP they have is set up is weird.... O_o
heh, cant complain much since the owner of the host is only 16 years old.

scp is secure copy (basically cp via networks)
rsync is a tool to synchronize directory hierachies across hosts
Do you know the owner ?
AFAIK there are scp and rsync add-ons for the cobalt tools.
BTW:
So far it's looking quite good and I might upgrade soon.
