HostExpert,

I think DannyK may have asked what Matt's URL is because he wanted to see if the site was working. Not a terrible question to ask is it?

How is this host? They sound good, but has anybody ever hosted with them? I am hosting my site on their servers now, it is ALWAYS down. I got the standard package. When it is up though, it IS FAST!

Hello,

What is the site url that you're hosted with Jumpline? Maybe it is your problem.

I don't understand why the guy needs to provide you with his url. What does his URL have to do with his site being up sometime and down sometime.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Jumpline a reseller of OLM.net or something?

Hi Hostexpert,

I would advise that you would not use this name in future because you don't fit to use this name.

My question to matt is "What is the site url that you're hosted with Jumpline? --->Maybe it is your problem"

I wanted to test whether the site is working on my end. The problem MAYBE his ISP and not jumpline. Matt to know whether your site is really up or down, visit http://www.netmechanic.com (i hope its not the wrong URL)

Hi, i do not believe Jumpline is a reseller for OLM or anyone for that matter. Jumpline is a rather big company in the hosting biz.
There site seems pretty fast from here.

Hi, They are not resellers, but they co-locate or lease servers from Alabanza.com, which is a very well respected company.

Jumpline has been so good to me over the last 1.5 years, that I did not tell anyone about them, except for special friends or customers. (Guess I didn't want them to get too over-crowded)
Well, now I would not recommend them to anyone. I have always known that their customer support was terrible, and luckily, I did not need much support from them.

Within the last month, their servers have come to a crawl. What used to be the fastest web host I have ever found, is now terrible. They must be overcrowding their servers. The server loads are never below 1.00 anymore.
Recently, they upgraded my control panel and when they did that, all files that start with a . dot do not show up for me anymore. All of my .htaccess files disapeared, via FTP and Telnet, however they were still there and working, I just couldnt edit them. I contact them, and they say to use the control panel to do all password setups. Yeah right! You can do alot more with .htaccess than just passwords! Their support pages even tell you to modify the .htaccess file for various thins. Ugh.

To make a long story short, we went back and forth for over 3 weeks, and they finally put me back to normal.

But still remains the terrible customer support issue, slow loading pages, and high load averages.

I just signed up for Pair.com. Knowing that they too have long delays in customer response, but SPEED is most important to me, and pair is now the fastest I've seen.
