I think they deserve this ! - My comments about Virtual-Cities.Net
I bet some of you guys must have read my post regarding questions about virtual-cities.net. Recently i've move my site to them. Today, i would like to say out something out from the bottom of my heart. I would like to say, Virtual-Cities.Net got a extremely good customer services. Espcially their staffs. One of them by the name Jason Marshall, i can say that, he is a very nice guy indeed. I'm on 1 of their servers and it went down. I email him telling him the problems that i've got. Instead replying, he gave me a call asap once he received my mail telling me about this problem as well as telling me the time the server went back up & this is not the first time he called me. Whenever i tell him its urgent, he'll call me asap & solve it for me. This is the type of customer services/technical support we should get ! Keep it up Virtual-Cities.net ! I'll try my very best to refer as much friends that are in need of webhosting to your site. Thank you once again
Yours sincerely
Ben

In General:
Due to the fact that
small hosts/resellers (companies maintaining few domains) do not have to deal with thousands of clients they are usually offering much better support than big hosts.
So, if you're satisfied ... stay where you are

Seeing how they are resellers for Communitech.net I would probably have gone directly to the source instead. But If you're happy, you're happy.

Malu -
Do you have a problem with resellers of large hosts? The resellers (in most cases), build on the support, etc. of the host (ie. Communitech) and improve it greatly. Resellers in general usually are very favorable over their source host due to their price and support features. Just my 2 cents.

Hi Malu,
whats the big deal being a reseller of someone?
First of all i guarantee our customer service/tech support are so far better than Communitech. IF i would a normal webmaster (not resellers) i found that the price are the same as well as the features, if i know they're resellers, of cause i'll choose them because i believe resellers's support are so much better than the host. By the way Ben, thanks for your comment. We'll work every work to serve you all. we're reaching 200 clients really soon, at that time, i'll not be a reseller but a real webhosting provider.
Thank you.
Best Regards
Gordon

Sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone. I suppose a reseller could be good at support. But it seems to me since it's not "their" servers, they would have more difficulties with it. Things like CGI and email support is probably easy to give, but what about when the customers have issues only the "real" host can fix? I guess my point is that in the end, much still depends on the real host..
