I need a good hosting company.

I am in serious need of a good hosting company. I would like it to be inexpensive and FAST. I don't know if those two can come together.

Right now I am using Virtual Avenue. I am pretty happy with them because they are free, and I can put the banner on the bottom of the site, but they aren't fast.

Anybody have any suggestions? See how fast my site loads: http://www.dangelowebdesign.com

You need to define "inexpensive" and also more clearly define what you need from a host. As free hosts go, NONE of them are very fast. In that regard you do truly get what you pay for. I used a bunch of the free providers before going to paid hosting and VirtualAve was clearly the best of the bunch. They offered everything but speed. You will gain that by going to a paid-host. A decent virtual host is a lot faster than even the best FWPs.

Give us a better idea of your needs, your traffic and your budget. The best host for a site doing 5 million hits a month is probably not the best host for one getting 100 hits a day.

Burlee is REALLY good. I had used them awhile back. Great host and less than 1 hour response time for support. Really good support. I would check them out.

Cheap too!

Actually, I think it is against the TOS to put banners "below the fold" ... but anyway, you might want to check out:

1.) www.pennyhost.com
2.) www.addr.com
3.) www.eliteservers.net
4.) www.hostway.com

-Burlee is a great company. But they also tried to send me to collections on their error
-Addr is seriously horrible. I would not reccommend them to anyone. Thier tech support is pathetic. You send them a e-mail maybe look back for a response in about 5-7 days ...That is if they respond!
-I have been with many hosts....I would reccommend www.tierranet.com all the way.
They are supreme with many great features and a awesome control panel so you can do pretty much everything yourself. Responses to them take at most a hour.
Anyways good luck with whoever you go with.

addr.com used to be very good, 2 years back. Now they suck, probably because they have more members now than 2 years back. I would suggest communitech, but I think some people had problems with them.

i currently use amhosting. the hosting is cheap (as low as $8 month), however, the server speed is slow, unstable, and many features aren't automated.

i'm satisfied enough with them to continue the hosting of the domain name with them, but i want have future domains hosted with them.

geo : I suggest you switch to a different host, $45 a month can get you more with other hosts,. I went to http://www.internet-express.net and their hosting price is unbelievable,.

I would not recommend Addr.Com web hosting either, unless you don't need tech support. They have an inexpensive, good service, but their tech support is seriously horrible. I moved to GeneralHosting.Com, they are okay, not great.
