how you can be sure that a domain will remain yours forever ?
i had a domain from a company and after 1 year the company's gone in the internet. i can't renew. the hosting is gone.
i mean, i'd rather have a free geocities website if things like this happen why pay for something you can't get 100% :eek:

1. you cannot "own" the domain; to register a domain is actually to "lease". the name is owned by icann
2. if you are the registrant of the domain name and have paid the annual fee, you can get back you domain through the icann accedited registrar even the company you did business with was gone. (the company you mentioned is only the reseller of a icann accredited registrar; so far no icann accredited registrar has been out of business)
3. you can find the real registrar (icann accredited) by do a whois search (e.g. through http://www.internic.net/whois.html);
4. find the contact info of the real registrar (e.g. through http://www.internic.net/regist.html); then contact the real registrar
5. It is the real registrar's obligation to honor your registration. They MUST give back you domain if you can prove you are the registrant.
hope you can get back you domain name
