Interland is my host but I do not use it for ecommerce.
They are "average", really not the best. They are more focused in expanding their business than in giving their best to the customer.
In a scale of 0 to 5:
Customer service: 1
Server response: 3,5
Service features: 3
I've noticed their servers have gone down about 3 times since I've been with them (8 months).
One time they changed my virtual ftp without telling me, therefore I couldn't access my web site for 2 days.
Some of their customer service reps. acting as "technical support" has not clue what a perl script is.
In conclusion (assuming that there are better things) I would NOT recommend them.

agreed, they are focused on growth. i've actually received phone calls to my HOUSE from these folks trying to get me to switch. impressive, but their focus is on sales, which doesn't mean a hill of beans to me.
Hehe... I own a hosting company. I purchased a new domain name. And I redirected that domain name so it overlays my company's home page. My HOSTING COMPANY home page mind you...
Interland called me up to congratulate me on my new domain name and wondered if I would like to host it with them...
Hmmmmmm -- gotta love marketing

Interland call me most of time to try get me back to thier host and I declined so they still calling us... I wonder how to stop them by calling us?
Also I keep getting ads in the mail from thoses big companies such as SIMPLENT, ValueWeb, 9NETAVE etc.. You name it. I think I felt it's spamming dont you agree also?
Also I love to market too but it cost you a life for that unless you know what you are doing!
i call it junk mail, u can stop it. however, it takes some work on your behalf and a visit to your local post office. forget all this if ur not in the usa, don't know how u do it else where.
Also, to stop interland from calling you, just remember to tell them specifically not to call again. You might say something like "I am not interested in any of your offers, and I do not want you to ever call me again. If you do, I will consider it harassment and report it to the appropriate authorities."

I guess I'll wait for thier call and tell them what you just said and see what they will said. I hate it when it happens! It is pain the azz as you know too!
Now you see that how Interland make alot of money by charge customers paying 3 months of service so they can be making money fast. How smart huh? Plus I see they spend over $300,000 worth of adverisments and I think it's a waste of money. That is thier problem. I wouldn't need spend that much either.
Also note that (in the U.S.) if you ask a company to remove you from their telephone contact list, and they fail to do so, they can be held responsible for paying you up to $500 per phone call they place to you after the point you've asked to be removed from the list. It's not exactly easy to collect that money, but it certainly is possible and if you feel you deserve it then contact a lawyer to assist.

There are far better hosts, of the top of my head:
- dreamhost.com
- dids.com (my host)
- communitech.net (though good features, poor support)
