HostRocket.Com Reseller Program Ideas
Hello,
What does everyone look for when looking for a hosting reseller program. What features have you found that you really like? What features have you not found that you would like to see? Were going to use the responses to this forum to model our reseller program after, so please say anything that comes to mind as it will all be of help to us. Thanks!

I would be attracted by the following features.
1)$8 per month with no setup fee.
2)100mb web space.
3)3gig bandwidth per month.
4)Cgi-bin
5)Ftp
6)Perl, Cgi, Formail, Counters, scripts available.
7)Automated control panel.
8)Free subdomain addition to account.
9)Add domain to account at $2 per month with masking features.
10)Discount for resellers when purchasing webspace for clients at $4 per month with the following features.
i)20mb web space
ii)1gig bandwidth per month.
ii)cgi-bin, Ftp.
iii)Perl, Cgi, Formail, Counters, scripts available.
iv)Automated control panel.
v)Pop3 emails and catch-all emails for clients.
If the above features is available, I will definitely want to sign up with such a host.
Tech support is not that important as I am able to work my way with a server system and seldom require tech support.

I think what NSS said basically sounds good, except more bandwith. Or more bandwith without exhorbitant fees.

A truly secure order form is always a nice touch as well.
Perhaps a legit copy of Raven SSL instead of OpenSSL (which is illegal within the US) might help as well!

My best recommendation would be to stop posting pretending to know someone who is satisfied with your servies on message boards. If you admit you did it, then I will remove my posts. Please note the URLs of the posts I made, since I am not keeping track of them all. You can list them and once I edit them, delete *that* post. Thank you. I don't think this is an unreasonable request.

I just really think this is an extremely poor practice.

Not that it is really any of your business at all, but that post was made buy a customer of mine whom I work with at my other job. And yes you caught us, we both access the internet through the same gateway server while at work (hence the same IP). Do you know what a gateway server is? Thank you for so politely pointing that out in a public forum as opposed to maybe emailing me and asking for an explaination which I would have been happy to provide. As for your comments about me deleting posts in other threads I did not do this and do not know who did, but I assume it was a moderator of this forum who also is not aware of the possibility of say, 250 computers in the same building appearing to have the same IP to the outside world.
