Its been about 2 years since I have hosted a site with Burlee.com. They still seem to be haunting me though! This last week they sent a letter to me saying I am being sent to collections for $200.00. They said my site was hosted with them last year. To bad this is last year, my site has been on my own server. I dont get them. About a year ago I got a another letter from them also regarding a collection. It seems every year after I cancelled with them I have got a collection letter. I was only with them 1 month too before I cancelled..They are a bunch of SCAMS!

hell ya...catalog.com sucks crap!!! I had one of my sites hosted with them. their tech support is ..totally retarded. they too like 5 days to respond to a simple question and sometimes, no response at all.

for the prices they charge..and their crappy support...it's a wonder that they're still in business.

i am now with a way better host and happy as heck..! woo!

Hehe, my bad experience was with urgenthost.com as a reseller, I had 10 clients hosted with them and their service/support suddenly disappeared and had to move all the sites to another 2 other Host which I am also reseller.

I don't host all my clients on one reseller account as I don't trust one Host too much and prefer to spread my risk and use 2 other Host just in case something happens like the above and I was able to move everything out of urgenthost.com within 24 hours without any problems as I had backups fortunately.

If you are a reseller, I would recommend that you keep backups of your clients(s) site on you harddisk or on any other servers for safe keeping. Should your harddisk crash/fail then you can always use the backup of clients files on other servers and be doubly safe as you cannot afford to lose such important client's files as a reseller or web designer.

Remember the old marketing sayings:

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket"

So I guess it could be very true.

One host that was at VDI at the time of their problems, but I don't think it would be fair to name now, another but it was over 2 years ago and the main problem was insecure emil, also u2me3.com (horrid, absolutely horrid).

They wrecked their database and tried to blame me for it.

12 month after I switched to a real provider, somebody hacked their customer database and got my credit card info from them ... luckily I had a new one long ago.
