Host Help !!! --- Read Plz!
Hey I have a question.
I am interested in this host, however, I am very frustrated do to downtime from other hosts. With my dedicated server, I've had NO downtime period.
But I can't afford it anymore, you see, so I am switching back to shared hosting. One of the main causes of server crashes/downtime is due to overselling.
I asked them how many accounts they have on how many servers.
They say they have approx. 980 accounts divided on 5 servers.
Is this good or bad? Let me know. Thanks.

Depends on how its divided up to be honest...
1) Is that 980 accounts pread evenly over 5 servers?
2) Are all 5 servers just for web service or do they also have MySQL, mail, stats servers installed on those boxes?
3) Is the accounts figure clients or actual domains? Each client could have multiple domains you see...
One other thing to bear in mind that some of those domains could be real resource hogs and this will naturally impact on the other users...
Not really enough info to be able to tell you if thats good or bad I'm afraid...

1.) No idea...
2.) Web hosting including mySQL, mail, stats, and all that crap that comes with CPanel
3.) The host supports clients to host multiple domains...

ok so there could be a lot more than just 980 domains operating on the boxes then.
If you go to http://whois.sc and enter the domain name of one of their sites, if you are registered you will be ablke to get a rough idea of how many domain are on that box...
Alternatively if you need a host that has a maximum of 200 domains per server that give me a shout!
