Hmmm
I have never used a webhost other then myself.
I have been looking at iPowerWeb. They seem like a very good choice for me. I think I am just too used to being able to control every single aspect of my Network Sites. I will prolly get an account there for a year.
(PS: If I get a cable connection, will I be able to host from my own box again? Or does something with the router mess up something with the IP's or ports...?)

This violates the service agreement with most cable companies and can get you kicked off.

Because they charge people to host on their systems and through their connections.

Yes but what if the cable company finds out and yanks you. most people only have one option for cable internet access. Is it worth it ?

most cable and dsl companies use dhcp which won't do you any good for hosting you're own site. you can upgrade to a business account to get a static ip if they have that service available in your area.
