Help on domain names for a newbie???

Hi this is the first time ive tried to set up a web site so be gentle

I have a free web space provided for me with the name example.freehost.com
I have bought a domain name that is www.myname.com

How to i get the contents that are at example.freehost.com be displayed when someone goes to www.myname.com?

Ive had a google and it says to change the name servers for my www.myname.com to the ones for my free host

which i did a couple of days ago, so the whois record now says name servers ns01.000webhost.com & ns02.000webhost.com but open dns gives me the following error...

ns01.000webhost.com returned (NORECORDS)
ns02.000webhost.com returned (SERVFAIL)

Am i doing this wrong? As i say ive never tried any of this before and im getting confused going through google. please help!!
