Good Reliable Host For Large Site
Hello,
Haven't been to the forums in a while, work load has cut in on my time to review the forums. Anywhere here is what I got.
Turns out that our website ifae.com has been getting hosted for free for the last two years by valueweb.com, lucky for us...sorta. When they found out they gave me about 4 hours to download the entire website from their server before they deleted it. Luckily I had a friend in Florida who was on a faster line and could download 180+ megs that fast.
I wanted to switch to a new server, but they wouldn't put a forwarding page up in place of the deleted website unless I continued using their service. My job couldn't afford the downtime so I let them move it to their server.
They said that nothing would change with the email addresses. Except the fact that they deleted them along with website and didn't tell me I would have to create the 50+ email accounts and 100+ forwarding accounts that we have here. So after I recreated all the accounts, and reset everyones smtp server (because they deleted our account from that as well) employees started coming to me saying that people where sending them emails and they weren't being recieved. I spoke with tech supp. they said the server was a little overworked, I said I would check back in a half an hour. About a half an hour later the server started responding saying that it was full. So of course it was dropping any emails during that time that were addressed to our accounts. Now we aren't recieving any errors and any tests that I send about 40% complete.
So I need a new host. My site is about 200 megs, transfers about 15 gigs a month at most. I need a reliable host, with a resonable cost. It must have perl support, ssi and that is about it.
Thanks everyone who reads this post, sorry for making it so long. Gotta look like I'm working hard =)

You might consider venturesonline.com , futurequest.net , or hostmatters.com . All of these places have been praised a lot, and have few to no negative comments
