Fastest host
I am currently hosted by Interland. It seems as though my site has gotton very slow. Can anyone recommend a hosting company that is blazing fast and maybe even offers a cool shopping cart like Miva Merchant?
Thanx

Where are you located? The speed can vary if you are close to your server or far away. That has a lot to do with it.

It's in Atlanta, however I don't think that it's the location. I've been told by a few peole that they aren't the fastest hosting company.

I have never done any buisness with them at all before. If you are looking around for hosts. Look at their support, speed, prices. All of that has to go together to be a good host. The cheaper the host you get for the $$ the less service you might get. It depends on the host. Just check around. Also look below in signature.

ronhollin,
Go to http://www.WebHostingTalk.com/ and look for a new web host. Once you've found one that is of interest, do a search and read other members' experiences. You could also ask about them.
Good luck.

There is a way to ascertain the location of the webserver. You can try using : http://visualroute.visualware.com/ , let it load and then enter the name of the website. It should give you a graphical traceroute to the actual location of the server.
In some cases, there can be mistakes. But this is one way of checking up the location of the servers.
