Has anyone had any experiences with Blue Box Webhosting? ( http://www.blueboxinternet.com )
I think I'm going to get an account from them.

They do seem to offer "unmetered transfer" (which they later refer to as "unlimited".. We all know this is not possible, and for this reason many other board members as well as myself recommend staying away from "unlimited" hosts. If you look in their policy, you'll see their real limit is 3 GB/month.

Haven't heard much else about them, though. You might want to test their tech support and see how quick they are to yield a response.

Yeah I did it and they responsed in 40 minutes. Answered my questions perfectly.
And 3Gb is still fine for me.

One other thing I just noticed is that they require you to pay upfront for a year... That's not a good sign, as you can't terminate your contract if you're not happy with their service until the year is up (whereas with a monthly contract you could get out at any time).

You can go for it if you want, but be warned that it is a risk to pay upfront for a year of hosting.

You seems to like the host. Go for it.

Personally, I would not go for any hosts that put something like "Unlimited or Unmetered" on their plan page.

Quotes from the TOS:

Unmetered traffic applies to standard HTML pages and standard graphics like .gif and .jpg. Other files types such as .zip, .mp3 etc... are subject to a 3gb/month bandwidth limit.

Monthly payments are due in advance and credit cards will automatically be billed each month for the amount due. If we are unable to debit your credit card for the amount you will have 5 days in which to make payment - if payment is not made within 5 days your service will be suspended without further notice.

Alter,
It seems you have your mind made up, so why not just go for it, and try them out?
Hopefully they will be everything you want them to be, but if not just remember we told you so Smiling

In ~ 3 months or so, why not come back and post a review here with your domain, experiences, etc.

Whatever hosting company you choose, make sure they have
a money-back guarantee, at least 30 days so you can pull out
if things don't go as planned.
