I have had a site on Softcom in Toronto, Canada for about a year. They're the fastest server I've ever seen and even though I'm using several others, I keep the Softcom account. They only offer the $9.95 - 50Mb accounts (on a NT server) and the reseller options are slim...so, I use other Linux servers for hosting and reseller plans. I don't use their Tech Support, so i can't offer comments there....
I don't keep up with my logfiles much and I don't check them daily for reliability, but I don't hear negative comments from others I know either. I have friends who have accounts on the Softcomca site. It funny that I've not seen reporting about them on this forum, considering that they are incredibly fast. I have tested them from several locations in N.Am. and consistently get times under 200ms....and alot of the time it stays under 150ms....really amazing if you consider the average nationwide is falling between 350-500.
I'm curious if anyone else here has had any experience with them....they aren't a big website advertiser like some of the more popular hosts, so the exposure and enticements are so obvious I guess. I hope this helps....Bobby

I had my site with Softcomca about a year. What should I say, they really have a good service for their price. But...
They quite big, about 17000 clients. Probably because of that their servers are quite unstable. I keep a lot of warning messages from monitoring services for that period...
Also, they have no Perl and use Windows NT. That's why I've dropped Softcom for myself, but still recommend it for my friends with limitations abowe. Softcom has really fast servers (while my current server on michlink.com even faster).
