Domain Registration

Does anyone know what happens if you register with anyone other than netsol and then said company folds?
Are you still the registered owner? Would you have to transfer your registration? Is it worth saving a few bucks and registering with anything other than netsol?

Just curious.

I also read somewhere that when a company applies to become ICANN accredited, they have to list a company already accredited to transfer the domains too if indeed they become bankrupt. I believe NSI is the default.
