Domain name pointing
Heyas all,
Ok, i dont know a great deal about this so please bare with me.
I have a client who has their own mail server box in the office. Their website is hosted offsite at a Web hosting company.
Basically they have registared a new domain name retailnews.com.au and want it to point to the same place as build.com.au. What is involved in getting this to work? eg. is it as simple as delegating retail to the same DNS??
Thanks in advance

Whoever they registered the name with should be able to arrange the forwarding of it or set it up via the control panel of the site. Normally you just say where you want it pointed and bing it's done (well normally after 24 hours or so)

Lukster, the way I see it you have 3 options...
1. Change the domain's nameservers to point to the web host's DNS and have them point it to where ever you want.
2. Use your registrars DNS/forwarding.
3. Use one of the free DNS services to point the domain to the IP of your choice.
In my opinion #1 is the best choice if your web host is willing to and can help.
