Buying and selling
I want to buy a .com domain name with a webhost also. But I'll be basically buying it so I can sell it for a profit. Is this legal? Where could I buy one as cheaply as possible and have the ability to sell it when I want it?
Also I remember reading about a website where you can bid for the new domain extensions comming out soon, what the url of that site?
Thanx
I should have a signature here, but Im too lazy to type one.

No, it's not illegal, as long as you don't buy a registered trademark or company name.

Buying and selling domains: Although they aren't the cheapest registrars, OpenSRS types like http://www.weblaunching.net are fairly inexpensive ($12/yr.), and offer a really solid mamgement system and easy way to transfer ownership (just edit the record).
Also, a site like http://www.mydomain.com might be of interest to you, as it allows you to point domain names to webspace (even free URL webspace), which would be handy if you have a bunch of domains an just want to point them to a page that lists them all, etc.
Finally, I wouldn't waste money on bidding for domain name extensions that haven't even come out yet. The place may not even end up being able to register the new domains.
There are some free reserve places, but even that seems like a long shot.
