Anyone heard of super.nu - Question about the super.nu web-hosting compnany
I recently saw the super.nu website and they offer well-priced accounts with good features. I would never go with any hosting company without getting references first. Anyone ever heard of them or hosted with them? If so, please tell me about them

Well, they are not (I beleive) a big company as I have never heard of them. That said they have a very professional looking website which is always an indication of a trustworthy company.
Price wize they look competitive. Does anyone know if they are a resseler?

I don't know if they are resellers, but they don't have their own nameservers or secure server. These are usually signs that a web host is a reseller.

We paid $199 for two years of hosting in July 2004. We were promised 99% uptime. There has been way more downtime than 1% - more like 20%.
In April 2005, Mr. Gunnels said our site would be deleted unless we upgraded at an additional cost. We said no.
In July 2005, our site was removed by Super Nu, without notice, because they were shutting down their "old" servers, which is were our site was located. We had to contact Super Nu and Mr. Gunnels told us we had to upgrade for an additional cost. We refused as we have another year that we have paid for and will not pay him for something he promised us we would have. He did put our site back up, but now, three weeks later, it is down again and his email and phone number are disconnected.
Check out their BBB record!

Stay well away from super.nu. Steve Gunnels is a crook. No two ways about it. He took money for services not delivered, he illegally withdrew money from client's credit card accounts, he blackmailed many into paying extra for services they didn't need or had already paid for.
