Anyone heard of Burstnet? - I postponed my decision by 24hours...
Don't know anything about them except the following:
1. I got the same email
2. I believe they're based out of Texas
3. Their graphics a lot like the ones a net nation, so maybe their a reseller.
Good Luck

Hi,
I am currently with burstnet, and I like them a lot. The features are excellent, the longest downtime I ever saw was less than 15 minutes, and their support is pretty good too. They are very well.
Regards,

Oh....hehe...I never new burstnet.net worked.
Anyways...I don't see how their site looks similar to NetNation's site.
BurstNet runs their own servers, etc and they are NOT resellers of anyone.
The Sales Dept. of BurstNet reads the posts on several Web Hosting forums (not sure of this one) and they will make offers to meet or beat other hosting companies offers. They only do this if they feel that can meet your needs in hosting your site(s).
I would recommend BurstNet to you.

I was all set to call Powersurge later this morning when I got a very interesting e-mail from Burstnet. They had seen a posting that I had made on a different forum (*gasp* I do post elsewhere!) and they offered to meet or beat my best deal.
I think it is just the idea of being pursued as a client that has me the most intrigued here... That doesn't happen very often.
Any thoughts, rumors, first hand accounts with this company? I will probably still go with PowerSurge, but I am giving Burstnet a chance to produce an offer. (While I check them out of course).

Well... I have decided that Burstnet (burstnet.net) is going to be my next webhost!
They claimed to be able to match or beat competitor's offers, and I held them to that statement. They most definetely backed it up, and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse!

I think BurstNET's servers are located in Icon GMT's NOC.

I'm currently hosted with Softcomca.com from Canada (Win NT servers) since 2 years and they're good to me. I have about 8 accounts with them. No setup fees, fast connection, unlimited traffic, 50 megs, several POP accounts, good support, autoresponders, and so on...and the price is still 8.95$ a month.
Burstnet doesn't seem that competitive to me...

BurstNet caters to the bigger sites and so forth. Also, there is no such thing as "unlimited" bandwidth.

Mark,
No offense, but I would need all 8 of your accounts just to barely fit my site onto their servers. At $9 each, that would cost me $72 monthly. Burstnet is VERY competitive in the larger markets ... especially if you bring them your best deal from a different webhost. The deal they cut me is terrific!
