Anyone follow the launch of new.net ?
They, new.net created alot of excitement last week by launching 20 new (alternative)top level domains. As these manager of several atld's myself, I'm impressed with the amount of public awareness they were able to generate.
Now, we get to see if they can build a successful business out of it (as new.net is an idealab co., many have doubts.)

if you're into these kind of tld's, but you want them to be understandable, did you visit my site? (I think mine make sense, but I dunno).

Hi Mark,
I spent about 15 mins browsing your site. It's a nice site, very informative news on domains and I bookmark it and will return for a more detail info later. Hehe you poll vote seems to prefer .com(59%) more than the others.
See you around...

It seems like they need another domain something like .rtfm . I have a bunch of people that I could send that way.

The .XXX will probably do well for adult sites. Otherwise most people still think .com or .net.

as more people get used to seeing great tld's like .trader, and .biz being used, they will come around (these tld's have been around for awhile, they just haven't been marketed on a large scale before this.)

GmbH stands for Gesellschaft mit beschraenkter Haftung. (German)
It's quite similar to Inc. or Corp here in Switzerland/Germany and Austria.

Could you translate it in English so that we understand what it means in German?

It is an article similar in English to 'the'.
