Why is it sometimes such a pain ot add or delete points Illustrator?
Sometimes it's no problem to add or delete points or delete the toggles on a point.
Then other times it seems impossible. I keep getting a dialogue box telling me that I must do what I am doing. Frustrating piece of $%^&*,
Illustrator 10, MacOS 9:confused:

I agree. Those little direction points are just too tiny sometimes!
(sorry, no help - this is why I tend to avoid using Illustrator!)

I find it's a lot easier to zoom zoom zoom and edit that way. There are a lot of options when you're working in Illustrator, I'd recommend reviewing the manual and paying careful attention to your settings until it becomes second nature.
If it never does, of course, send feedback!

Yeah, I've tried zooming but the points themselves don't zoom so it doesn't help.

Yeah, those direction points are always the same size after zooming. There really should be a setting to change the size of them. (go tell Adobe that! and Macromedia while you're at it... Flash has the same problem.)

Yes I do want to borrow your head. Mine is really getting soft and mushy, it's useless.

OK, how do we inform Adobe and Macromedia of their interface blunder?

Here's a direct link to Macromedia's wish list submission forum: (I had a bit of a hard time finding it... stupid MM website...)

I know your problem is with Adobe but just in case anyone else is interested.
Here's adobe's feedback form:

Heh heh... Now to figure out how to get it off...
I find that if I zoom in, being able to view each node better makes it better for doing the work. To be honest, until you mentioned it, I thought they zoomed! lol!
Zooming in does help, in that it isolates the node I want to eliminate or work on.
I don't think Draw's pointer zooms either, but its controls seem a little more sensible (to me).
I usually work with things at 1600% or so, so when I zoom, I zoom!

I did write to Macromedia about this (just for the record). I was writing in about another problem so I figured I might as well add it on. (other problem being that you can't view the timeline in other time formats, such as minutes and seconds instead of just seconds)
