greetings. i realize the polls are closed, but i felt i would add my remarks. i don't read 101 in logo #1. it is a little too abstract for what point 101 does. you need a logo that will be read easily and will convey your message to the viewer. logo #2 is more interesting, but i don't think it matches your target audience. you might try a more illustrative, hand-drawn logo for your site. i really think you need to play up the fact that you sell contemporary art, photography etc.

Hmmm, it's sufficiently different from iomegas logo I think. The second one is by far the best.

First impression on seeing the images, the left one reminded me of iomega's logo. (see http://www.dataclinic.co.uk/jaz-disk.jpg)
I take it you have changed the logos since your first posting, as I see no coloring in them, just black and grey.
If I had to choose between the two, i'd pick #2.

2 for a website but I can see no.1 being the better if you were stamping it on crates.

Initally - I didn't like either of them...my brain wanted to have a go at redesigning the logo itself.
The more I look at #2 the more I love it. It really works.
Saying that, I've just dropped it into Fireworks a deleted the blue areas and I feel that it looks better. I may be over stepping the mark here (sorry if I am - I'm not a designer or anything), but I think it looks more striking.

I think the second one is better personally.

I know the poll is closed, but I thought you might still want an opinion.
I like the second one much more for the simple fact that most of your site is very square, and the logo is a little more circular. That's why I would choose that one.

The second one, because the '101' comes out more.

The second is good for a website but have your try that on black and white? what if you are going to put that on paper? does it look good?

I am still undecided between the simple straight line logo, and this one. But I think, the example would be a little large. There is a fine line with a logo, between not enough and to much.

Thanks David - I've made another version of the second one which I think I prefer - what do you think?

2nd one. much more interesting and the 0 in 101 actually works as a 0 rather than a square.
