What do you think...sunflower design
I've just been working on some general templates lately - nothing for actual websites - and I was wondering what you thought of this one. It's fairly simple, but I was wondering what you thought of the colors, layout, etc. Thanks.

P.S. If you check to see if it's valid - it is if you disclude all of the Geocities ad code. It pisses me off that they insert a bunch of crappy code that ruins your page.

I like the sunflower, and that's an ineresting background choice. More interest needs to be created in the empty background space though. It's too boring. I also don't see the point of the scrolling content area. Really, setting overflow on a div is not much different from using an iFrame. It still breaks up the page and adds ugly scrollbars when it's really not necessary.
The font for the header text is good but I think the black is too harsh against the rest of the colour scheme. Not a bad job overall though

Thanks for the input. I was debating about whether or not to overflow the body or let it go. I think it looks better when it stretches with the text, but I wanted it all to fit on the front page. Thanks again.
(I changed it so that the body stretches with the text - just so there's no confusion over what these two posts were about )

I have to agree with Megan that it's just a bit too simple. Makes it somewhat boring.
Also, I viewed the site in Firefox, and the title was cut off by your text box. The bottom half of "Design" is cut off.
So I then viewed it in IE and discovered there wa also a menu up top. But in IE, , the words "Home" and "About Us" are hovering over the word Design, and are not very readable.
Anyway, I like the concept. I did something similar myself recently for a one page site.
