VR Objects
Has anyone had experience creating VR objects or panoramas?
Does anyone know how this object movie was created?
Here is a sample:

I would like to create a similar effect where you are able to drag on the object and certain areas open and close.
I was wondering if this was taken with as a video somehow although I'm not sure how the images would be stitched.
Any ideas? thanks for any help

My computer crashed after I had this beautiful post, so this is the second run at it. My apologies if it's rambly.

The movie in question is done with Quicktime.
Quicktime uses Olympus digital cameras, iPix uses Nikon. Both require specialized hardware and special lenses for some effects.
If you don't have the hardware (fairly expensive if you're starting from scratch), then there are photographers who you can hire to take the pictures.
Each technology requires a plug-in and has different options available, so a 3-D view, an inside looking out fisheye view, movies, et cetera.
Quicktime probably has more options, but I can't say for sure. It is definitely more likely to be installed (the plugin) but I really like iPix.
Depends on what you need it for.

I do agree that IPIX does seem to be faster and smoother.
My only concern is that you have to purchase an image key with IPIX for every picture you publish and this could be very expensive.
My idea is I want to create panoramic scenes using VR panoramas linking object movies within them. I want to have the feeling the user is moving forward in a panorama like they are entering a doorway.
I want to use this technology to create training senarios for examinations and CBT software packages.
Wasn't sure the best solution though but thanks for your advise.

You might want to investigate other options other than VR, including actual video, and possibly Shockwave.
