Viewing Html pages on Desktop
This is probably a very basic question for most of you but I'm a bit confused.
Yesterday I visited a freind that was working on her website and I asked what program she was using to build the site .... , she replied that she was using her desktop and showed me how she did it.
She would create a page and save it to desktop under "all files" and it would save to desktop and then allow her to view it as a webpage.
Of course no pics would show... but the rest of the page showed just like using Frontpage or Dreamweaver or whatever type publish program.
But.....
I tried it on my PC when I returned home and made a basic html page in Notepad just like she was doing and saved it on "desktop" and "all files"...... but when I go to view it ...... it does not save as an IE page and shows only as the original notepad page I made.
What am I doing wrong?
Please Help
Thanks

Did you save it with a .html extension? Also check that you haven't got Notepad as the program associated with .html or .htm file.
