Transparent background
Hi all
First time here and need a little help or guidance.
I am trying to create a drag and drop Smilie Make for my site. However, since the background is white, when the images are saved it saves them with a white background.
Is there a way to make my page transparent so when the images are saved they are saved transparent? I dont think there is, but ya never know.
I just didnt want the user to deal with converting the images.
If I were a program guru, I would actually make a smilie maker program and not have to worry about this, but being that I'm not, this is the easiest way for me.
Thanks so much
Jen

Have you tried making this smilie using a gif image which actually supports transparent images...

See thats the thing, I can make the base of the smilies transparent but there are other elements for the smilie that I will be using (accessories and such to dress them up as) that I'm sure most are not transparent. Most of them are gif's but there not transparent. And It would be a huge hassel to convert all of these. THERE ARE TONS, lol....
I know its a long shot, but figured I'd ask.
Thanks for the quick response.

if your using other ppls smileys then you might wanna edit them with photoshop or whatever to give them a transparent background. my favourite for transparent formats is png =) easy to save in photoshop and pixel perfect round the edges, good luck
