Technical question
I have a slight problem!
I have a banner on a newly created 300 page web site.
It was a .art - this caused problems for some browsers. I replaced it with a .gif and renamed it .art
(so I have a gif named art)
will this cause problems

Yes, as a gif is a gif and an art is an art file
Especially if the gif is animated

.art extentions are native to AOL, hence people on AOL will be the only ones that can see them.

wait, you have art.gif as the name? That's probably fine. But you can't just 'change' an .art to a .gif by renaming it. You need to open it in a design program and export it as a .gif (I think, I'm not really sure what an .art is)
I can do that for you if you need.
