I have made a design for a postnuke template, using photoshop (I am going to pay someone to put it into postnuke form) Since I don't want to spend more money by designing another one, I want to make it look good the first time. So what you think of it?

Mods, I did not put this into website reviews because it is not a real website Wink

I agree with Andy! Needs some more colour to bring it to life.

Black & grey is about as dull as it gets! Try adding an accent colour of maybe orange or yellow for say the links and in the logo somehow?

That orange is good but it needs to be incorporated more into the design rather than just around the form boxes. The top is now not right as the text isn't within the curve (which I'm not too keen on either). Do you really need to have the www. part under the logo?

So get rid of the osguys and the curve thing, correct? And put some more orange into it. Do you like the 2 bright lines around OSGUYS?

Personally i would take the text in the curved bit off the top (linux, unix, windows, free bsd) and replace them with the respective logos for each OS. Would make the header more attractive whilst injecting some colour at the same time!

Why not try changing the dark grey bits to another colour? Perhaps a shade of blue?

Good idea for the logo thing, I just might do that, as for the colors, I am working on it...

If you want to stick to the black/grey then add another grey (lighter) to help seperate it a bit, (or even off white), things like #eeeeee and #f5f5f5 for the lighter side and lighten your dark grey you have now a tad.
Don't use black for your links, instead use a colour , red, yellow, green, pink, blue, orange or something with a different colour on hover

My personal web site is in black and gray but then again it is a reflection of me. The design you did doesnt look vary origonal, ive seen simaler before. I think you sould come up with something more origional.
