Site Concept - A Blog Story

So here's the idea. I write a book, a chapter at a time, and post it on a blog. People give me feedback, suggestions, or even pages if they wanted to. It'd be more or less everyone writing the book... I was thinking about calling it "a blog story"

Comments, Concerns? Would you participate if the story/writing were good. Oh, and nothing that's like "how are you going to build up a fanbase?" I've already figured out that I don't have that figured out.

It's called a collaborative book. Drupal CMS comes with the Book module that allows this, not greatly unlike a wiki. There are doubtless a good few more like it. Yet, strangely, I've only seen it used to maintain online manuals and to collate fanfiction works, no other application.

Anyway, it always sounded like a fun thing to do, to me. I suppose I would participate depending on the context. I expect it brings with it all kinds of challenges about editorial policy and retaining voice, though.

Blast! and there I thought I had an original idea. I think the editorial policy would be what I like, and I think it would work considering:
a) most people don't read that.
b) it seems reasonable, at least to me, that if I run the site/story I should get to choose what goes in it.

Yes, that is fair. Smiling

Btw, hotscripts.com lists it under Interactive Stories. Not a wide selection. Sad

I don't think I'm going to need something special, just a blog with comments. Maybe WordPress? I hear they output valid code.

Would it be that thing where someone starts a paragraph
and then the next poster makes another paragrpah
and so on until you get a story made completely by the imaginations of different people all around the world... (goes on in daydream)

No. It's where I write a book, and post each chapter as a blog entry, and people give me feedback and ideas and such.
