Aghh, I saw it on a page once, but I forgot the url....I think it has something to do with being able to reverse it for languages that read right to left instead of left to right. If I figure it out I'll post it though..

Go to www.sportsillustrated.com This does not have a scrollie thing on the left but it has links to other parts of the site over there. How do I make something like that? Is it possible?

Umm that is just a simple frameset, try going to htmlgoodies.com and reading his frame tutorial

Ah, yes. A frameset is much easier than trying to figure a left-side scroll bar (what I thought you meant in the first post). ifaces suggeted a good tutorial, you can also see mine if it helps at:
