hello all, link below is my template

http://home.planet.nl/~hek00018/Untitled-1.jpg

I find it very cool myself, cause i'm designing not that long, so please give it a rate. 1 is lowest, 10 is best. And give me some tips please!

I do find that half transperant gcube in the back very cool:D, but see for yourself!

Thanx: by frank

I'm not feeling that font effect bro ... The "bevel" thing u used for me it's not that cool, I don't think it really goes well on the layout

I like the idea, but the bevels just too high... The BG is quite appropriate but you could play around with the header and Font of the Site title... The caption just spotting for you is not appropriate, I cant understand it. You could make it a little less popped out than it is... Keep it coming...

Looks like a gaming console.
The transparent background over the top bar is out of place as the content section aren't overlayed.
The index/content, menu are just about unreadable - less bevel needed on them or a sharper drop shadow with less shadowing.

I kinda like useing bevals and drop shadows in my work to but I am tring to stear away from them because of responses like the ones you are getting here.

1) The bar in the header doesnt need to be transparent. I doesnt match the rest of the page very well.
2) It looks nice and all but isnt very practical. Very large amout of Images and since you said you haven't been designing long im willing to bet you wont slice them effectively.
3) I am supprised no one else has pointed this out so far but.... welcome to the internet! People use diffrent screen resolutions. How are you doing to deal with that with out messing up the look if the entire site?

I think you might just wanna stick to publishing in print media where you dont need to think about more than the look.
Useing you r rateing system... I give it a 7

Font dose not go good with this layout. To much bevel. background looks ok to me. Do something with your header.

Bevel and drop-shadows have been massively overdone on the Web recently... This is a typical example of just that. And why have you got a gaming console in the background? Also aren't the producers of said gaming console going to just tell you to remove it as soon as they find it's on there?
