Hi. I have a few questions. What are some of the best programs to use to edit/create graphics and picture. How much do they cost? And...could anyone tell me which ones I can create animated .gif's on?

Thanks.

Hi. I think the best software for working with images is Adobe Photoshop, from http://www.adobe.com . However, this program is very expensive, and may exceed your budget by a little (or a lot!). Anyway, I've heard good things about Macromedia Fireworks also, from http://www.macromedia.com . Also, I know Paint Shop Pro from Jasc is a good and affordable piece of software: http://www.jasc.com/ .

For animated gifs, I've had good luck with a program called gif construction set 32. I forget the URL to this program, but if you do a search for "gif construction set" on download.com, you will definitely find it.
Good luck!

I have to agree with Brian, Adobe Photoshop is the best graphics program, but it is expensive. I use Paint Shop Pro 5. You can download Gif Construction Set from
