Photoshop Question

Hello,

I'm Begining to learn Photoshop 5.5. One thing I can't seem to figure out is how to make text arch or go to any path I specify. Could someone please help me with this, Its driving me crazy.

You can't do that automatically in Photoshop. You have to make each letter individually and rotate them separately if you want to put text on a path. I'm not sure if PS 6 allows you to do it or not. Illustrator does though.

You can do that in Photoshop 6, but in 5.5 if you want to you can either rotate the letters individually, or play around with some of the "twirl" type filters and see if that can help.

Thanks guys I really wish their was an easier way to do this but I guess I'll have to do it the hard way. Thanks for answering my post soo fast.

As Lurch said, it's very easy in 6 and well worth the upgrade cost. Otherwise there are some plugins that will do it which are freeware or shareware. I had a good one called "circle text pro" that worked pretty good. I did a search but can't seem to locate it now.

Use Illustrator then open the resulting .ai file in Photoshop.
