Personal Website: What.. oh what to do?
Hello,
I purchased a personal website a few months ago and have really done nothing to it. Either I don't have the time to play around with it or I'm just too fussy on what I am wanting to do with it. I want it to be a website that's all about me, thus my reason for buying it, but now I'm stuck as to how I want it to be all about me.
An online journal sounded appropriate, but I cannot find a source I like. I've been using WordPress and they seem to be pretty good, but I've not yet figured out how to configure my own templates for WordPress. So having to use the view templates available becomes stressing with its restrictions.
I created my website called http://www.wisebryce.com because of a few different reasons... mainly because my last name consists of the first four letters spelling "Wise" and my first name is "Bryce". It just happens that the two together (backwards) seems rather fitting
Any recommendations as to what software I should use when running my online journal?
More-so, does anyone have any ideas as to what would be a good header graphic (logo) for such a site? I am no good with graphics, I'm learning, but the ideas are just not coming to me. I want to do something more with my entrance page and once I've figured something out, I do believe I could somehow configure my actual journal to suit the entrance of the website.
..... more useless rambles...

Hi Bryce,
I use Wordpress for my site and I honestly don't remember what the process was for changing the templates.
One easy way to make a nice header (and I did this on my site as well), is to get a nice photo, blow it up to an interesting angle, and put your site title on it in an interesting font. Simple and attractive If you search around here there are some threads on sources of free stock photography.

Hello Megan,
Thank you for your help. Will search around for stock photography. That just means its available for the public for various usages right? Thanks!

DaveyBoy,
Thank you so much for the link you've posted. Great resources on this website, it'll definitely come in great use.
It's funny you should call yourself DaveyBoy, because my best friend from back in the school days was called that. Great guy, haven't thought about him in awhile. Maybe I should give him a shout
Again, thanks a lot!
