Don't worry about the content (it's just one page)
but anyone have a problem with the colors? to hard to read, displays funny or anything? Layout should fit all screen sizes, not sure about content yet.

It will be the index page of my site once I get it all sorted, then I will post it for critique, but for now its layout and colors, many colors

It's very dark! I like the layout/design but I'm not a fan of black backgrounds, I just find them to opressive after a while and tend to give up on them. I do like the 'face' though Smiling

I don't think the black and the blue color you used for the text really match. Kind of hard to read.

But very nice!

PS. Nice mouseover on the title Smiling

Yeah, I don't generally like black backgrounds. They tend to make me think of a gaming site. How about making the middle table white with black text?

In limited quantities maybe...

If this is just a one-pager leading to the other projects, I think that you can get away with the black background.

I spent hours on various gaming sites yesterday, researching something. Mucho reading of white text on black backgrounds. By the end of it, my eyes were burnt - I was done for the day, unable to even look at the computer screen.

Oh, and I'd probably fix the table width and center it.

I do think that black backgrounds have their place - the question is, is this one of them? I think it really depends on what all you're going to have on here. I really do like the black background on your plastic models site. I see that you've used dark backgrounds on three out of four sites you have listed there - why not try something different for a change?

I'm not too sure about the rest of the design here either. I don't mind the colours too muich, although I could do without the grey. I definitely don't like the stripey effect on the logo - makes it too hard to read. What you could try, and this is just an idea, is to replace the grey and purple with more striking colours like, say, red and yellow. I think that would give it more of a dramatic flair. But then, I'm not sure if that would be appropriate for the subject matter and site topic.... hmmmmm.... just thinking aloud here... I would also like to see more colour in general here, so the black isn't so overpowering... or maybe not, I'm not sure.

Thanks all for you input, I think Megan summed it up in her last paragraph, really not sure what to do.
the stripes in the header (light grey, purple, dark grey) have been just about every color under the sun, I started out on a white background as I want a white site lol but have the colors are either to overpowering or to bland.
It's just a directory page so content will be minimal, hense the reason I did the full border, try fill the page up a bit.
the white center section idea was tryed but over powered the graphics.

One thing I have found is black backgrounds kind of full the page up a bit when content is lacking, white on the other hand is totally opposite.

The oringnal idea was a gremlin type dude (munch) in the middle of the screen with the sites names beside him, him moused over his jaw dropped and showed a preview of the site, looked ok but was very graphic intense - back to the drawing board.
