Opinions on Colour Scheme
I was wondering if I can get some users opinions on the colour scheme of my site.
Please be honest...
Does the colour scheme hurt your eyes?
Do the colours not go together?
Thanks in advance...

I don't like the blue/green. The shade of green you are using doesn't fit in IMO, maybe a lighter shade. And the blue isn't the best shade either. It doesn't hurt my eyes, but it's not great either :\

I think that you need to balance the color (that's the American version) against the usability factor. The colors project the tropical image well but it can be harder to read the posts. Try leaving the colors as they are but maybe making the post background white.
Using a 19" CRT.

For the theme, it's nice
it's not hard on my eyes or anything
Maybe drop the green text... the dark green is easy enough, but the light green near the top is tough
I'm using a 14.1" laptop LCD

I notice people using LCD monitors are having a better time with the colours...

I agree about dropping the green text - using a 21" CRT - You might also reconsider whether the gradients in the section headers (e.g. Forum/Announcements/Who is online/Login) are really necessary.
Good luck,
Brian

The background is kind of bright, maybe use white as background and two shades of blue on the forum threads (like how this one is two greys) and that pink on visited links is really bright.
That white bit looks a little forgotten
on 17" CRT

Hi,
CRT here. I think the gradients are way too bright and the green text doesn't match the background colors in some way.
I like the blue btw

Too much blue in too many shades IMO and I don't think the green text goes well at all. I would loose the gradients on the headers as they make things harder to read and just somehow don't seem to fit in.

This was really bright last night when I looked at it at home, but here, with a lower screen resolution, it's not soo bad. I would definitely lose teh darker gradients, although the top one isn't too bad with the lighter blue.
Oh! It looks better because you changed it! I was going to suggest that there should be a little less blue, and to make the content areas white. Glad to see that you've done that.
